About Me
I work hard at what I do, making sure anyone and everyone that I write music for is more than thrilled with the outcome. I also own an independent publishing company,Danielle Marie Publishing, and continue to look for other songwriters I could represent and collaborate with.
I have a small home studio that I currently record out of. It has been newly remodeled and updated with some high end equipment. Please contact me with any questions you may have about my recording services. My rates are flexible and I love working with other artists.

Danielle Gaudin

Since age five, Danielle Gaudin has been channeling musical inspiration, at first with piano and later at age 12 the guitar. After perfecting the piano and guitar, Gaudin then 14, began writing music and playing out at local coffee shops with her best friend at the time. “My best friend moved on to California and I got married and had my daughter at age 21,” recalls Gaudin. After some relationship upsets, Gaudin found herself in difficult times, struggling and making ends meet as a young single mother.
Music went on the back burner as she immersed her time and energy fostering the love and growth between her and her daughter. “Shortly after I was divorced, working two jobs and didn’t have the time or the ability to work on my music, I had songs constantly running through my mind, but I had to push them aside,” continues Gaudin.
Even though music was put on hold, Danielle Gaudin kept the light burning and recently resurfaced her talents. “About four years ago I was playing piano for my sister and I showed her some of the songs that I had written over the years. She was so surprised at what I had wrote she went and bought me my first recording software and pushed me to pursue songwriting as a career,” says Gaudin. “Slowly I worked on my music during my free time, sometimes waking up at three a.m. with a song in my head and getting up and writing it. I built up my music and started recording with what I had.
As time went on I worked harder and harder to get my music heard. I joined Taxi, a songwriting agency and had some luck selling a few songs and met an agent that has helped me along the way.”
About her recent involvement with local music talent competition, Capital Region’s Got Talent, Gaudin says that her sister urged her to try out. Having never performed her music live before or sung her songs to anyone but family or friends, Gaudin emerged out of thin air and took first place in the final competition winning $5,000 in cash, a recording demo, and a headlining spot at the popular music venue Revolution Hall in Troy, New York.
The talent competition allowed Gaudin an opportunity to finally release her debut album You started It (Self released/November 21, 2009). A second album Songbird will also be released during her December 12 headline performance at the Revolution Hall, entitled Danielle Gaudin and Friends: A Capital Region’s Got Talent Encore.
Of the collection of tracks from her upcoming releases You Started It and Songbird, she says, “My inspirations for the songs I write are everywhere and everyone. I have no real source, they just come to me out of nowhere like a sad movie, a friend with relationship problems, something my daughter says or does. Rarely do I write about myself despite many trials and pain I have had over the years, other people move me in a way I can’t describe with words alone, only music. Writing music is my way of releasing stress for me, when I write a new song I feel a happiness that no one could ever take away.”
With her new releases in tow, Gaudin plans to tour in and around the region.
